Thank you again for joining me at the Social Media Marketing and Management Headquarters.  One aspect of course, to Social Media Marketing,  for most businesses and sales professionals, is the ability to generate more traffic, more leads…and of naturally more business.

So, I relate it to fishing and tasty grilled fish filets.  On one hand, if you want to catch the fish yourself, clean them, and do the cooking, there are some necessary tools, and a variety of accessories you’ll need to make it happen over a period of time.  Otherwise, if you lack the time, tools, and experience, but still want to enjoy the experience and benefits of a tasty, fresh filet of fish, you can go out and buy it.

Likewise, I can go do the fishing, because I have the experience, tools, resources and such to do that for you and deliver the “goods”, or ……you can buy the tools, accessories, and etc. from me, go through the training that each tool or accessory comes with, and go catch your own fish, and enjoy your own fish fry!!

BLOGS AND HOSTING SERVICE

For your blogs, which should be your “hub” or “nerve center”, that reaches out to everything else, I highly recommend setting up on your own host, or server.  Wordpress does have wordpress.com, but you don’t own your content, they can use it for whatever, and….the worst….is that if they don’t like your content, or if you are driving traffic with your blog to 3rd party sites…which many of us do, they can shut you down!  I’ve seen 6 months of content wiped away.

So by all means, take the time to learn the finer details and use a wordpress.org blog and host it your self.   For hosting, one of the most reliable, affordable and well know hosting services is Blue Host.  Simple wordpress set up and great customer support, check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

EMAIL, AUTO RESPONDERS, CRM’S FOR LIST BUILDING-EMAIL CAMPAIGNS AND MANAGEMENT

Now that we have our blog or websites up, hosted with our own domains and servers, we are networking and getting our content out to the Social Media Networks, Bookmarking sites, Search Engines and etc..We need a reliable email/auto responder tool and/or program that allows us to create opt in/lead capture forms to integrate with our blogs, websites, and squeeze pages to build and manage our lists…your list is KING!

Those needing an ALL-IN-ONE email platform, auto responder AND customizable solution that is geared toward E-Commerce marketing and Affiliate Tracking should take a look at InfusionSoft.  They’ve been around a while now and are getting a lot of traction in the online/e-commerce/affiliate product space.  My larger clients tend to go this direction.  They use to be a bit hefty on the front end cost and monthly fee, but now they offer services based on a reasonable flat monthly fee, scalable to your needs and the size of your client base or list.
